This has me dying! Because it’s the truth! Let’s refocus on what’s important here: climate change!! Share anything you know about the effects of climate change to those around you and make sure everyone is aware of how our actions will affect our future!!
Spent the whole day trying to reduce my internet waste by unsubscribing to tons of email lists. Cloud servers waste so much energy! Data centers use around 6 to 12 percent of its electricity to actually compute things. 90% of the electricity is simply wasted. I also think receiving hundreds of useless emails everyday isn’t healthy for your mind either and the clutter it causes in your inbox is ridiculous. When was the last time you unsubscribed from email lists? 🌿
today, for the 4th day of #PlasticFreeJuly, I decided to try making some rose water + witch hazel toner! 🌹 I boiled (on low) 5-6 rose-worth of petals in filtered water for around thirty minutes. Then I poured it into this Sangria bottle and mixed equal parts rose water and witch hazel. The recipe I was following suggested leaving it in the fridge for at least a week, so that’s what I’ll do next. It’s a great way to use dying or wilting roses or roses from your own garden.
Did you know @adidasoriginals and @parley.tv are making strides to make shoes that are still fashionable and made from recycled plastic? I know reducing the consumption of material things is important, but if you’re going to buy new shoes, try to do it from a company that is making strides to better our planet! 🍃🌿💚

This weekend I ran out of shampoo and conditioner and finally made the decision to spend money on the Lush bars. They’re a little pricey, but everyone says they’re worth it and last longer than you think they do. I’m still a little skeptical, but I’m excited to try them! Any curly/wavy hair girls out there have a favorite zero waste shampoo or conditioner?
Some quick tips to start you on your zero waste journey!! What’s your best zero waste or eco-friendly tip?? 💚🌿🍃 Lately, remembering to bring my reusable bags has been so hard! And I don’t know why?? Maybe I should try to actually keep them in my car? 😂
So lately I’ve been trying to find the most wasteless bathroom routine. I’ve been using bamboo toothbrushes for a couple of years now, but I’ve always struggled to make a choice when it comes to toothpaste. I think I finally found a winner: @toms_of_maine! They are recyclable through @terracycle 💚🌿
To my local Miami people, @marshalls has been selling these super awesome reusable snack bags! They are around $4 and bring 4, two sandwich size and 2 snack size bags! It’s a steal and it’s good for the environment!! What’s your favorite eco-friendly snack hack? 🌿
